Short Introduction: 
On January 21, 2010, the Supreme Court of the United States issued a landmark 5-4 decision in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission paving the way for unlimited corporate and union spending in elections. Citizen$ United is exploration of the way that political spending by monied interests may encourage actions by political candidates and government that conflict with the public interest, while serving simultaneously serving to the conceal this influence.

Brief Play Description: 

The player is a Campaign Manager tasked with electing a candidate to public office. The candidate is cynical, vacuous, and ambitious-- their only concern is to say and do whatever it takes to win. The player guides the candidate through the run-up to a general election, trying to gain and maintain the favorable opinions of both the voting public and the special interests that hold the purse strings.
