Short Introduction:
Deceptive Platformer is a 2-d action game the plays on the common conceptions that surround platforming games. Platforms are no longer safe havens, they reverse your controls, alter your gravity, and bend your perception of reality. Your goal is to reach the door at the end of each stage while managing a myriad of mind boggling, deceptive, platforms.

Installation Notes:

Deceptive Platformer

Installation:

From the game's file folder, navigate to "bin" and open "index.html" in your favorite Flash 9-enabled browser.

Controls:

A- Move left
D- Move right
Spacebar - Jump
R- Reset

Thats it!

Brief Play Description:

Winner of Best Overall Game at the NYU Jam Site!

Use "A" and "D" to move left and right, and Spacebar to jump. There's an reset key, "R", if you're feeling impatient and don't like to see your character hurtling toward his doom.

Deceptive Platformer plays on your conceptions of directionality in platforming games. Different platforms you land on will affect your controls in some fundamental ways, making the challenge of progressing from one level to the next as much as an exercise in inductive reasoning as it is in coordination and spatial perception.
