***Winner of "Best Use of Concept" at Game Jam Sydney 2011***

"Duat" follows the erosion of an Alien society from the external influences of art, science, literature and history. The game metaphorically explores the ideas extinction of language, culture and society through the player experiencing the destruction of their alien culture and the beginnings of a new culture by the games end.

The game starts with an Alien civilisation where the player controls the spirit of their culture known as "Duat". At the start of the game the player can see their city with idols of the "Duat" and their dancing people. However gradually overtime people begin to come to the civilisation bringing new ideas that impact the "Duat" society.

The player tries to manage this through guiding the "Duat" spirit across the alien landscape and city to push away the ideas brought into it. However over time as history as shown it is impossible to stop a revolution of thought and once it happens languages, cultures and eventually civilisations are lost.

THIS GAME WAS DESIGNED TO BE PLAYED WITH AN XBOX 360 CONTROLLER
