A Place To Bury Strangers plays a little like a slow version of Super Meat Boy, except you start off only being able to jump a little bit and must find other powers to be able to reach the more extreme places.
Finding your way around the caves and mountains is the main problem you are faced with, and most of the problems take place over several screens. It will should take 20 - 40 minutes to find the monster (and because there is no save or load you will have to complete it in one sitting).
Besides being interrupted and losing your progress, some other perils you may face are: Stationary vengeful spirits that you must avoid, as well as rocks that fall from above. Also don't get smushed by the monster.
There are helpful spirits that will give you hints along the way. They are extremely obsessed with the monster.
Use the arrow keys to move, jump and climb walls. Use space to swing your sword (once you have it).
Unzip the package. If you are on windows unzip and run the windows version, if you are on Mac unzip and run that one.

It is very atmospheric, with great music and graphic theme, and I also liked the exploration. The player is given plenty of elbow room and freedom to explore and it is exciting when a new power up gives you the ability to explore places you couldn't explore before. Not just new areas, as though the ability was nothing more than a key to an abstract door, but new ways to investigate nooks and tunnels that you could see everywhere before but could only now reach. It felt like spelunking with a purpose.
definitely one of the most polished looking submissions i've seen. great!
