Brief Play Description:

Bring back the spoken language from extinction. Spoken language is filled with living links to ancestors, past events and traditions. Its loss represents a profound silence.

Humankind has evolved to to a supersystem known as the Hive where war, famine and dissent have disappeared. This is in large part due to modern advancements, in particularly telepathy. However, with the advent of telepathy, spoken language is now critically endangered.

The Hive and its successful assimilation strategies has now incorporated all of mankind, save the 100 monks who worship spoken language in the Monastery of the Babbling Idol. Promoting spoken language is seen as promoting dissent and represents backwardness to the super system that knows everyone's thoughts and thrives on order.

This is a story of what happens to one of those monks when the Emissaries of the Hive arrive one foggy, silent evening at the monastery's gates.

Using the mouse, to direct the player character without clicking, you convert all non-speaking citizens who enter your area of influence to speaking citizens. Guard npcs try to stop you and brainwash speaking citizens back to non-speaking citizens.

To complete a level you must convert all the non-speaking citizens within the given time.

There are seventeen levels to complete.

Nice stuff

Really nice art, nice story. The gameplay is a bit tough though, especially using a touch pad. I wish it would be playable with the keyboard.
