1D diversifier applies, as its point was about one-dimensional gameplay. Ouroboros can only move left or right in a straight line. If there was action in both X-axis and Y-axis, it would be a 2D game. As it is, it's a 1D game. While the sprites can move in a variety of coordinates in a 2D space, the actual gameplay action is in one dimension only.
