3D Planet, Hurray!

Hey guys, looks like you had a lot of similar issues to deal with as my team who also did a unity game where you walk around a 3d globe: http://globalgamejam.org/2012/catch

Did you move the player or did you rotate the globe?

Your game was pretty neat and the art was great. I liked how the planet's techtonic plates were shaking.

Critique:
* I was wishing I could shoot stuff.
* the level transitions were a bit jarring. I kept thinking I was dying and restarting the level but the counter was increasing so I guess I was going deeper?

thanks for the feedback! The

thanks for the feedback!

The globe moves as an object and all of the tiles are children of the parent, and the ship doesn't move based on input but is moved by scripts and time transforms. It's designed to be multitouch on an iphone, but there really isn't an easy way to distribute a binary for the ggj.

We're incorporating more features and gameplay methods for the iOS release coming in a month or so. (I also would like to zap things with the ship)
