Media Design School
Media Design School has a world wide reputation for delivering quality education and is the most unique New Zealand provider for Game Development qualifications. You will be hosted by Mike Porter, Caroline Jeffries, David Marsh, and David McCurdy.
Mike started his game career back in 1995 in Lewisville, Texas. Over the last 15 years, he has worked in several different companies both in Texas and in Seattle, including work for Sierra and Microsoft Games Studios. He has created 3D artwork, level design on various games, for various platforms including Dreamcast, PS2, PC and Xbox 360. His roles included Art Lead, Environment Art Lead, Vehicle Art Lead and Level Design Lead. Mike was even lucky enough to work with the great people at Bungie for a short period to help ship Halo 3.
David March is a recent recruit to Media Design School.
David McCurdy is the Academic Leader at Media Design School and the original designer of Media Design School's Graduate Diploma of Game Development and the degree programmes. David has worked on robotic vision research both in academia and industry. David is a multi-award winning researcher.

The Auckland Global Game Jame will be hosted at the Media Design School - our major sponsor - on Queen St.

WE'RE FULL. We only have 22 to use and over 25 people coming. You can still register - but you'll have to bring your own laptop.
For those using the Media Design School computers, facilities available include:
- Wireless internet access
- Software including CS4/Flash, Maya, Photoshop
- While you are welcome to use any software or programming tools in the Game Jam, unfortunately you cannot install your own software on MDS' computers. If you wish you use your own tools we recommend you bring your own laptop.
- The student lounge kitchen with tea and coffee
- Cafes and restaurants nearby on Queen St
- The venue will be open overnight over the entire 48 hours for dedicated Game Jammers.
- You can bring sleeping bags and crash in the student lounge, but (warning) the floor is hard and couches are scarce. Also, there are no shower facilities.
- Or you could also stay at the Base Backpackers across the road
