Greetings Jammers,

We will be using the facilities in the Ryder building on NU's campus. The link to the map is here, Ryder is number 24:

I have attached an information sheet about the schedule as well as some FAQs.

The best way to contact me all weekend will be email. I will be replying to them as fast as possible so if you have questions feel free to ask. See you all on Friday!

Cheers,
Mark

Looking forward...

After attending my first Jam in 2009, I'm now stupidly excited about this year's Jam. I've stocked up on my caffeinated beverage of choice (Monster), updated my laptop, prepared my SVN server and have dug out my sleeping bag!

After last year's Jam my team carried on work with the game we created ( http://daveirvine.me/downfall/ ) and I'm hoping that whatever my new team comes up with this year will be equally enjoyable to develop.

I'm attending a new Jam site this year, and it's their first time hosting a Jam, but I guess everyone is still fairly new at this.

We are bursting at the seems, having expected between 15 to 20 people and ending up with over 40.

This is a nice surprise for our first year running.

The staff and the students of the BTec National Diploma Media Production (Games Development) course are pleased to have the opportunity to be part of this event for the first time. We are really looking forward to hosting our first Global Game Jam and hope students from other courses in the college will join with us to make imaginative fun games.

Today I went on a bit of a quest looking for potential organizations to get excited about global game jam. Not many people know about this event.
