You do not need to bring your own equipment or tools in order to participate in Global Game Jam at Camden County College but you can if you like. If you can bring it, you can use it!

things to consider bringing:
Technology
- computers, monitors, keyboards, mice
- Ethernet cables
- power strips
- headphones
- Artist or musician? What equipment/software will you need to do your thing? Make sure you bring it, some software will be available!
- Plan to make a non-digital (card/board) game? What type of things would you make it out of? BRING IT!

Comfort / Sleeping
- blow up mattress / cot / sleeping bag / something to sleep on (if you plan to snooze)
- We will have designated areas for crash time at CCC, there will be one-two classrooms cleared out for people to snooze a bit.

Food
- if you would like to dine on something besides take-out, consider bringing some snacks

The site has:
- hard-wired AND wireless internet available
- a microwave
- We got showers there is only a blackout on Saturday from 10-6pm
- a variety of delivery/take-out menus to choose from
- numerous restaurants and eatery's nearby

The space is handicap accessible.

The Lean Dog office buildings are being renovated that weekend. We have been authorized to use their backup work space at Burke Lakefront Airport which is conveniently located next door.

When you park, make sure to use the free Leandog / "Hornblowers" parking lot. It is the left hand lane labeled as "Hornblowers" when you get to the parking lot booth off North Marginal Road.

Due to the size of the location, there is no space for sleeping.

NJIT (School of Art and Design) GAME JAM PROGRAM 2012

ARRIVAL

Park in the NJIT parking garage, in front of the West building.
Stop by the registration table set up on the 3rd floor of Weston Hall.
Sign in, pick up packet
Acquaint yourself with area (restrooms, vending machines, campus, etc.)

NOTE:
Our local student ACM Siggraph chapter at SoA+D NJIT will hold the "get-involved" meeting immediately preceding GGJ 2012 Opening Session at 4 PM in the Loft. All student participants are welcome to stop by and get involved. ACM & ACM Siggraph Student Chapters, and members, are important contributors to our event and this event is a great opportunity to meet them.

3:00-4:00 Informal reviews of games and mingling: the groups show their games to each other and play each others' games while the jury panel reviews games.
4:00 PM Presentation of the games in the auditorium. The groups present their games to the participants, describe their ambitions and answer questions.

5:00-6:00 PM Panel Discussion, Awards, Closing Ceremony

PARKING AND CAMPUS INFO

Free parking is available at the parking deck of NJIT. Driving directions to NJIT and its parking deck are here (http://www.njit.edu/about/visit/gettingtonjit.php). Parking is marked as number 19 on the map in this link: http://www.njit.edu/campustour/index.php .

The event takes place in Building 20 called Weston Hall (College of Architecture and Design). It is the building shown on the Game Jam site: http://www.globalgamejam.org/sites/2011/new-jersey-institute-technology/.

Access to the building is on the campus side through the ramp (opposite of Martin Luther King Blvd). When you enter the building from the campus side you will be on the 3rd floor. Event registration will take place in the room immediately to your right after you enter the building.
Opening presentations and the keynote will take place in the Weston Lecture Hall on the first floor. If you are arriving late Computer labs for the Game Jam are on the same floor in the section marked “School of Art and Design” in the room 236C. For overnight access (after 10 PM) outside jammer would need to contact me or one of the volunteers. There will be signage in a building to help you navigate between various rooms.

For parking use NJIT parking garage. If you plan to stay beyond 10 PM, please park your car on or above level 5. Levels 4 and below are reserved for day parking only. Parking garage has card access. If you don’t have a card, you would need to use buzzer at the gate to gain the access. Mention that you are coming for the Game Jam event. There is also possibility of parking on the adjacent streets around the campus. However, there is no overnight street parking.
