I'm interested in learning to design and develop realistic games focused on spaceflight and related subjects. I work for NASA Ames, and I have degrees in physics and space architecture, so I have a good background in *content* for realistic space-related games.

However, my experience in game design falls somewhere between "laughably limited" and "totally nonexistent". I'd like to learn more about how to create games that are both reasonably realistic, nominally educational and/or inspirational, and yet still fun. (In my experience, the problem with educational games, space-related and otherwise, is that too many of them are really, really bad.)
